Tamarind Wit

Our Beers
Tamarind Wit

If it wasn’t for Peter Celis who revived the Belgian Witbier in Hoegaarden, @indianbeergeek would perhaps have not got into brewing. Such is the power of this great brewer and his brew!

We tried making this beer in small batches but always fell short. The beer was just not right. We did not have the yeast, the malts and even the technique but despite all these constraints, we persevered. Many attempts later, we zeroed in on a neutral yeast, added tamarind for a touch of sourness to complement the light, refreshing nature of the beer and infused it with coriander seeds and orange peel.

We believe that this brew, in its own unique way, pays homage to the great brewer and his beer! Come, give it a try!
